Find some peace at Christmas

It's time we Aussies found a few movies to watch and rewatch as we end our year.

The Americans love to watch " It's a Wonderful Life " with James Stewart

My Number 1 suggestion is : Interrupted Melody ( 1955)
It' s the true story of Margorie Lawrence (Our most famous opera singer apart from Dame Nellie Melba ) If you need any encouragement, she shows up the famous Roger Moore in one of earliest roles in his career .A great family movie that has the great benefit of being true ( and even a little bit sad )

Marg was a horse rider from Deans Marsh in the Otways .So popular in her day she was the first to ride a horse into the flames in Wagners Opera ( who title i am sure YOU can find in Google )

You can always watch Home alone later , when you are all alone
And if Christmas is a bit of a fizzer,  try " Anger Management" even if you have to watch it on your own again. It will do you good even if it doesn't reign its blessings on all who you see at this testing time of year.

There will never be a better time to end the year with a song that we share so well with those of the Jewish faith
" Shalom my friends " has a simple tune and you can all go around and around the group with " we will see you again . we will see you again Shalom ...Have a blessed Christmas and look forward to genuine peace in the new year.

Now that my Facebook pages have been restored after being taken down for a month , you can join in with YOUR suggestions for a holiday watch list on my Facebook page #worthwatching

Have a blessed Christmas and  I pray you can look forward to genuine peace in the new year.

Almost too many great stories

The reason the last post was in 2017 was because I transferred my interest to Facebook where we have all had some fun.
As I don't know how long Facebook or the AI creatures are going to deny me access to my own work , I am moving back here for the moment.
I hope you are liberated enough for a robust conversation in fiction that will help you deal well with the serious and profound poor use of language in real life.
Love to hear from you

Please join  me again and let us all join in the fun.
